Software + Machine Learning Project

Autodesk AI Lab — AI/ML Developer Intern

Built an Electron application for an Autodesk product, developed agentic AI workflows, World Labs API integrations, and contributed to Autodesk Assistant features and product innovation.

Overview

Worked on Autodesk's AI and innovation team across product development and emerging technology research. The role spanned from shipping features in production software to blue-sky exploration of agentic AI capabilities within Autodesk's product ecosystem.

Core areas included Electron application development, agentic workflow engineering, World Labs API integration, and customer-facing research to inform product direction.

Software Architecture

Built an Electron desktop application integrating with an Autodesk product, handling cross-process communication, native OS integration, and Autodesk's internal APIs.

Developed multiple agentic AI pipelines: a generative scheduling agent for production planning, permit and location agents for construction and infrastructure workflows, and script/screenplay breakdown agents that parse and structure complex documents for 3D production pipelines. Data prediction models were built on top of structured data outputs from these agents.

Integrated the World Labs spatial intelligence API to explore 3D scene understanding and generation within Autodesk tooling — an early exploratory integration pushing the boundaries of what's possible in design and construction software.

Results & Achievements

Delivered working Electron application features shipped within an Autodesk product. Agentic workflow prototypes were demonstrated to product managers and design leads, informing the product roadmap. Customer exploratory studies surfaced key user pain points that directly shaped feature prioritization.

Collaborated across engineering, design, and product to bridge research prototypes and production-ready features. Presented findings and demos at internal reviews, receiving strong feedback on the innovation potential of the agentic pipeline work.
